Reactive arthritis is an autoimmune disease that develops in response to an infection in another region of the body. Because its manifestation is set off by a different infection, it is termed “reactive”. Most frequently, reactive arthritis occurs due to of the occurrence of some kind of infection such as gastrointestinal, bacterial or genital infections. Even food poisoning has been recognized to instigate reactive arthritis. It’s often hard to determine the actual source, because the original illness has generally been cured before the signs of reactive arthritis materialize.
