There are almost as many women executives in the business world today as there are men. The rate of women executives seem to increase every year. This means that there is a greater call for portfolios of women than ever before and manufacturers and designers have responded well to this demand. They have created portfolios that are appropriate for men and women or, in some cases made them gender-specific.

Purses for women are generally the same style and features such as briefcases for men, but there are some features that are used only for female executives. Many of these look bag with the same type would handle like a bag. They look much like the designer handbags that are simply bigger. They come in a variety of colors as well as olive, pink, orange, red, blue and purple to name a few.

There are a number of designers who make bags of women as Knomo, Clark & Mayfield, Jack Georges and Liz Claiborne. Each designer has his own flash of their brand portfolios. They are competitively priced when compared to similar items side by side. They have similar characteristics with only a few levels higher powerful for their bags. These few, of course, stick a bigger price tag on their products, which in some cases, not really draw attention to them.

Cases have come a long way from the briefcase of your father. The laptop compartment is padded for extra protection of its important work that helps prevent damage caused by rain and shock. Many designers have added pockets for cell phones, PDAs, pens and pencils and business cards.
